Mom’s are Superwomen! We are everything to everyone: Mother, Daughter, Sister, Auntie, Wife- you get the point. Whatever role you play, know that you are appreciated. However, I don’t know about you, but every once in a while, I need to take the cape off.

It took me a long time to realize, running myself to the ground should NEVER be an option. In removing the cape, my  ‘humaness’ was revealed. I was tired, I would become overwhelmed, and I realized (often too late) that I have stretched myself too thin. Thank goodness for my tribe. For the group of ladies with whom I can confide in, drink, and eat, in lamentation or in celebration. For my family members, who keep me grounded and really convinced me that I am not crazy. Thank you for reminding me that, in Banksy’s words (or at least it’s rumored that he has said), that if I get tired, learn to rest, but to not quit. My little ones are watching. I want them to remember Mommy’s endurance, strength, humor, patience, humility, courage- but most importantly- *drum roll please* LOVE. That final word is the driving factor, giving each one of us the ‘S’ on our chest.

Let’s keep spreading it like the soy butter and jelly sandwiches we are making for their lunches every once in a while. Get to it. Keep being SUPER. Super loving, super caring, super understanding- Keep being Super Women. You’re making this place a better one for it!
